Fine-art.education's system for open calls and admissions has been used by preparatory art schools in Sweden since 2016. buddy.art owns the system, has developed it further and today provides a reworked system for a wider range of arts and culture organisations that manage visual selection processes.

The system covers the entire flow from public open call to assessment and archiving, with support for application fees. All data is handled within the EU using Swedish and French services.

The system covers the full selection process: open-call page, application form with support for images, documents and video, assessment in a working mode close to the artistic material, communication with applicants, and export and archiving once the process is completed. Roles are separated: admin, jury member and advisory jury member each work in their own view. Jury members' assessments are hidden from one another. buddy.art configures the open-call form in consultation with the organisation. Application fees and a custom domain name are available as options.

Since 2016, thousands of applications have been submitted through the fine-art.education system. Today it is used by Gerlesborgsskolan, Konstskolan Idun Lovén, Pernbys målarskola, Falkenbergs Konstskola, Grafikskolan, Österlenskolan för Konst och Design and Gustaf och Ida Unmans Donationsfond. The system has also been used by Folkrörelsernas Konstfrämjande and Nordiska konstskolan.
