Buddy.art

is a platform for artistic collaboration and community of work.

Our objective with Buddy.art is collaborative learning. We want to provide a workspace where artists can carry out hands-on development work by engaging in knowledge exchange about their practice and by partaking in critical dialogue.

The premise of the site is artist-to-artist conversations. This follows a long tradition of peer support for lifelong learning that extends beyond one's own artistic practice.

In the long term, it also aims to promote contacts between more people interested in contemporary art and those working in the field as a whole.

In the near future, we will open a marketplace for the distribution of services and courses. This will enable artists to create new sources of income.

The purpose of Buddy.art is not to solve funding problems for practicing artists. Nor do we believe that we will be able to remove all obstacles for those who want and should be able to participate in the creative world. But we would like to contribute to facilitate exchanges across geographical and social boundaries.

For the site to be useful and thoroughly wondrous, it needs the participation of its members. The artists' community will therefore be involved in the development in various ways. We are always open to and grateful for whatever ideas and opinions you as a visitor want and can contribute. Are you lacking something? Email us at hello@buddy.art.
